Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Position Summary

Virtuous Software is looking for a sales representative or account executive to join its growing team. You will be a part of the sales team at one of Arizona’s fastest growing tech startups. In this role you will leverage our training and resources while using inbound sales techniques to sell complex cloud-based software to large and medium-sized nonprofit organizations. You will work in our downtown Phoenix offices and report to our VP of Sales. You’ll also work closely with the marketing and software teams to help maximize the growth of our platform. Your responsibilities will include using online and in person software demonstrations along with consultative selling techniques to sell CRM solutions and educate potential Virtuous customers on the benefits of using a high-performing CRM and marketing platform.


  • Use your skills and talents to sell Virtuous products and services to our target market as designated by the executive team
  • Learn about the nonprofit fundraising space and quickly become an expert on the common software needs and pain points of nonprofit organizations
  • Build a pipeline of new sales opportunities through contacting warm leads
  • Perform online and live demonstrations of the software and services
  • Attend trade shows to help increase awareness of our brand
  • Provide prospect feedback to Virtuous executives and/or product team
  • Use professionalism in phone, email, chat, or any other internal or external communication
  • Embody and uphold Virtuous culture both internally and externally


  • 2-5 Years sales experience, B2B SaaS experience a huge plus
  • At least one year of sales experience as a top performer
  • The ability to be coachable and to learn and apply things quickly
  • A metrics oriented, competitive attitude
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Desire for constant growth both personally and professionally
  • Relentless and competitive against external sources, but a team player internally
  • A passion for helping nonprofits and a desire to truly understand what makes a nonprofit tick
  • Willingness to talk to anybody at any time with a huge smile on your face
  • Ability to take your work seriously without taking yourself too seriously
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
